Located in South West, Manitoba, Canada, we are proud breeders of quality, Percherons and Belgians, under the registered prefix, West Pine. Our maiden Percheron mares are bred to a registered Thoroughbred to produce athletic, gentle tempered, Can Am Sport Horses.

Most of our mares are home raised and are selected for conformation, disposition and size. Ongoing purchases of herd sires bring proven bloodlines into our breeding programs. We strive to raise affordable horses that will excel in halter, harness or under saddle, for competition or pleasure.

From an early age, Richard rode horses & drove teams as part of the daily operations of a family farm. Brenda grew up amidst Percherons & saddle horses, attending local fairs with her family. While growing up Richard & Brenda’s children were very active participants in our equine operation. Introduced to the draft horse show ring by their grandparents, Ken & Bertha Brown, Clint, Kerri Lynn, Krystal & Kelli all carry with them fond memories of showing Valley View Percherons & young Percherons & Belgians raised at West Pine. Our family remains very interested in our horses & help out at home & at sales whenever their work allows. West Pine sells mostly weanlings, by private treaty and we also consign to a few select sales.
